People on a whole, need something to believe in. Usually it is one of the many religions of the world, but often it is some worthwhile cause or worldly treasure that is sought out.

  • Saving the animals.
  • Saving the planet (Climate Emergency)
  • Stop using fossil fuels
  • Pursuit of extreme wealth

Children are ingrained with the need to belong, to belong to a family. Unfortunately not all children have good homes, and this affects how they grow up and we can see this in their behaviours as they become adults. As we grow up, this need to belong, to be a part of something, never diminishes - it’s such a basic instinct that we can never get away from it. God created us, and we belong to God.

Without God in our lives, there is a void that needs to be filled. People live in a folly where they believe that they themselves, can fill such void with some worldly cause. But it will never be enough, that need or desire will never be satisfied. No matter the amount of wealth, or the number of protests you attend, or plastic bottles you clean up, you will keep looking for more.
