When we look at the Electric vehicles and the wind generators. I don’t think people realize the raw resources that go into building a wind tower, or the batteries used in the EV’s. The processes are probably more damaging than drilling for oil, yet I never hear one complaint about the environmental cost of these “green” solutions.
Which begs the question - are there larger motivations behind these agendas? When the Covid lockdowns occurred, it was a big social control experiment. The company I was working for at the time would fire anyone who did not get their Covid vaccines. People reporting on each other for spending time in a group. Travel restrictions based on vaccination status.
Here is a good link on social controls in China as a good example: Social Credits
Don’t think we are that far off. The push to shut down fossil fuels means the provinces and states that have oil to sell, won’t be able to, and reliance becomes on funding from the federal government (look up Universal Income when you get a chance). If provinces/states, corporations, and individuals have to rely on government handouts just to live, then the government get’s to decide who is worthy of the handouts.
EV’s make it much easier to eventually “control” people. They have much more limited range based on one charge, and charging is required more frequently, and doesn’t work well in cold winter conditions. Imagine that you can only charge your EV if you support the government of the day, or pay your taxes on time. If you don’t - you lose the ability to use your own car.
California ran into another interesting issue. With everyone switching from gas vehicles to EV’s, the tax they collect for their highway/road maintenance has gone way down. They’ve had to implement a new method of taxing based on usage of the roads to recapture their maintenance funds: California
